Interface with engineering, manufacturing and outside salesmen to provide the best technical solution to customer needs. Utilize proprietary company software in the electrical design of medium voltage motors and consult with engineering on more complex designs. Position has a project focus that involves coordinating efforts among multiple outside salesmen to “team-sell” over all key participants in large projects (OEM, Engineering Firm, End-User, etc.). Emphasis is placed on system integration to combine sub-systems (lubrication skids, starters, switchgear, etc.) with motor to create a larger value-added package. Manage Key Accounts by negotiating sales agreements, tracking projects, developing proposals and assisting with order project management. Develop and present technical oral presentations during customer site visits. Perform vendor pre-qualifications. Special projects as assigned by Business Unit General Manager.

The Small Business Development Center is a subsidiary of the Small Business Administration which is tasked with development of established business entities. I performed research to support client development. The research covered a wide range of topics and areas including market size and composition, competitors, funding opportunities and operational practices. I also performed data analysis and made recommendations based upon this analysis.

Established new branch of pest control company in the Fredericksburg area. Initially responsible for all sales, marketing and service. Generated sales leads, developed relationships with potential clients, signed new accounts and maintained customer records. • Sold numerous $1,000 - $5,000 per year accounts.• Secured a $25,000 per year commercial account with Super S Foods grocery chain. Successfully renegotiated price increase after 2 years of service.• Developed new business sector of lawn maintenance packages that currently added approximately $6,000 per year to sales in 2004.
