 Transferred to the Phoenix, AZ location to continue the formation of the Center of Excellence for the Water Treatment Group of Water Technologies. Downsized existing locations while increasing single source engineering resources and related disciplines including process and project engineering, application engineering, estimating and procurement, mechanical design, I&C design, contract negotiation & management, and national service management at the Phoenix facility while maintaining regionalized locations for manufacturing, project management and service. Continued responsibility for the manufacturing and assembly facility in Kansas City, KS. Complete standards of the water treatment product line to be used as sales tools for the sales and marketing department. Co-sponsored the establishment of the go-no/go process for lead and opportunities from the sales force, account managers and business development managers through the sales funnel within the group.

 Expanded role to Water Treatment Group Manager to manage existing water treatment locations of Bridgewater, NJ and Kansas City, KS in regards to Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, Estimating & Application Engineering, Mechanical and I&C Design and other support and administrative staff. Coordinate activities with the newly formed Phoenix, AZ operations group in regards to water treatment equipment and technologies.

 Promoted to newly developed position for the Midwest Group to manage water treatment technology systems and equipment for the Midwest Group of the Water Resources Division. Part of the reorganization of the Midwest Group from individual district office’s and project’s control to three (3) specific market segments for the Midwest Group as a whole. Responsible for the overall management and P&L for the water treatment group in the Midwest Group. Expanding the water treatment to include wastewater treatment equipment and systems as well. Also assisting in the development of new technology and development of partnerships, alliances and potential acquisitions to expand the wastewater treatment market for all Layne locations. Hosted and implemented the development of MBR technology which included on-site pilot testing and joint development for MBR system components for both the biological treatment system and the membrane operating system. Directly sold wastewater treatment plant packaged plant systems, and was involved with an alliance for an AFC design build system at an industrial processing facility.

 Set up and originate assembly and manufacturing at the District Office in Kansas City, KS to support building of water treatment skids and supply of water treatment equipment and systems for the Midwest Group. Expanded manufacturing and assembly to provide for additional support in other regions of the Water Resources Division. Responsibilities included Engineering, Purchasing, Estimating, Project Management and Start Up and Service of water treatment projects in varying degree of equipment and technology for skidded systems, water treatment equipment & systems and design build projects for the Water Resources Division.Project Summary Over 100 skid assemblies on various water treatment technology, equipment and systems for the Water Resources Division, including ion exchange, coagulation filtration, adsorption, media filters, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, reverse osmosis and other technologies and equipment for industrial and municipal water applications and systems.

 Turn around an archaic losing bowling alley to a prosperous family bowling and entertainment center. Increased sales and income 181% the first full year of operation. Utilized my management and customer skills to increase league bowler base from 350 to over 900 league bowlers while increasing last year’s sales 213% since initial takeover. Initiated a Public School System bowling program that integrated with surrounding communities that ended up forming an accredited and lettered sport bowling program in the State of Kansas.

 Total business unit responsibility for a $20M division of a $45B parent Company. Participated in several Performance Enhancement Teams across all Wastewater & Water Divisions within USFilter – Developing Synergy & Integration amongst several groups and acquisitions. Led the acquisition of a company and involved with several other acquisition & due-diligence teams and acquired and hosted the implementation of the Membrane Bio Reactor Technology.

 Managed all phases of Operations including Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, Safety, Controls, and Service & Start-up. Led the acquisition of two additional companies within the group and provided start-up leadership and overall management. While providing the management of several departments, personally proposed, sold, and executed contracts on over $20M in new projects and equipment from 1995 - 1998. Lead the execution for the design, testing and development of equipment and systems for (SBR) Sequencing Batch Reactor treatment systems, and (ATAD) Auto thermal Thermophilic Aerobic Digestion systems.Project Summary 100+ Industrial Jet Aeration/Jet Mixing Systems. 80+ Industrial Sequencing Batch Reactor Treatment Systems. 120+ Municipal Jet Aeration/Jet Mixing Installations. 200+ Municipal & Private Sequencing Batch Reactor Treatment Systems. 165+ Jet Disinfection, Digester, Decanter and ATAD Installations.
