Parts Manager
Current➤ Coming aboard the company initially as a Parts Advisor, and then moving into the Assistant Manager and Wholesale Manager position in 2001, and then advancing once more into the Parts Manager position in 2006.➤ Managing the operations, personnel, and profitability of 3 Parts Departments for Nissan and Hyundai, with a combined inventory of $850K and annual sales of $6.6MM, while keeping obsolescence low and losses to a minimum, with yearly inventory reconciliation at less than 1%.➤ Performing onsite IT from 2006 to 2014, including hardware installs, software and hardware troubleshooting, and providing technical support to verify vehicle operating issues, communicating with Engineering staff to report and resolve technical issues.➤ Successfully completing the closing of VW, Isuzu, and Suzuki franchises, returning all parts to the respective companies and reconciling the credits of over $400K, while also working closely with other leaders in the dealership, participating in setting and revising strategic plans.➤ Started using R&R blue screen in 1999, went to ERA Ignite in 2015 and migrated to CDK in 2019➤ Managing 10 direct employees and supervising the personnel across both Parts Departments, and reviewing team performance on a regular basis, while conducting technical training and sending employees to appropriate training schools as needed.➤ Building a new Parts Department for Hyundai from the ground up, including designing the floor plan and managing the transfer of $200K in parts, and establishing pricing parameters in each category that generate sufficient gross profit yet maintains customer loyalty.➤ Establishing an inventory control system and maintaining a balanced inventory, conducting proper posting, and measuring true turns, enabling both Service Departments have the resources to sell to the customers.
