I am currently in my 23rd year in the food industry and am just as passionate about it as the day I started. I left a job in the legal field in 2000 to follow that passion and attend culinary school in Portland, Oregon. That led to twelve years working in kitchens in the Portland area including upscale Northwest cuisine, classic French, Cuban, Seafood, and Italian. In addition to learning about and cooking those different cuisines, ten of those years were in management roles and allowed me to grow the many skills necessary to successfully manage a kitchen and restaurant. In 2012, I started with Sysco Portland as a Marketing Associate (sales) and worked for the next four years in the downtown Portland area. Doing that I was able to learn about the food service industry from the other side.I worked 5 years as a Business Resource Consultant at Sysco. This allowed me to blend my skills and passion in a job where I consulted with restaurant owners and chefs about how to more efficiently and profitably run their businesses.I currently work as a Specialty and Import Specialist. In this role I work with our sales team and directly with customers helping to sell items from European Imports
