In this strategic role, for Washington State’s oldest local energy utility company, provides vision while leading and developing a direct staff of 5 to execute and implement program targets. Designs comprehensive leadership plans, than performs optimal monitoring to assure quality. When faced with roadblock challenges, fosters team innovation and development to resolve and keep progressing toward larger goal. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages $25M/year budget as Market Manager effectively allocating appropriate funds and controlling costs resulting in profitable departments Supports financial communications of budget planning including reports to senior management Performs risk management; making recommendations, managing approvals, and communicating outcomes through internal and external resources Establishes measurable company energy savings by establishing new measures including heat pump water heaters, ductless heat pumps, and electric forced-air-furnace to heat pump conversion Establishes positive community relationships with retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and contractors by networking efforts to market rebate programs Spearheads Puget Sound Energy business initiatives including conservation assessment & evaluation reports, customer satisfaction surveys, instant rebate programs, whole house exploration, and RFP processes NW Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) residential representative with knowledge of NW energy-efficiency utility issues Manages and serves as media spokesperson for complex energy-efficiency campaigns, such as Rock-the-Bulb, Re-Energized by Design, and Energy Upgrades
