I have spent over four decades in the I.T. industry, having been fortunate and blessed to have worked for great companies that were I.T. leaders during the time I worked with them (i.e., IBM, Ernst and Whinney/Young, The Travelers, Mellon Bank/BNY Mellon and now Gartner). During this time I have been exposed to excellent colleagues, mentors, and vendors that have made my time enriching. This journey has enabled me to see the industry from the perspective of a vendor, a management consultant, a leading enterprise customer and an industry analyst. I currently work at the intersection of three exciting areas: cloud computing, container and cloud management tooling technology. Gartner has afforded me an opportunity to lead key research in a number of dynamic technology domains while also interfacing with a wide range of worldwide clients. This includes delivering Key Note presentations for Gartner clients across the world.My free time is spent working out. Up until a few years ago, I played competitive tennis...but the knees no longer cooperate so I have become very acquainted with the elliptical and stepper machines.I have not been very active on LinkedIn in past years, but have been recently (since early 2022).
