My career started early. I was married at 17 to my late wife Liz 48 yrs ago. I went to work in construction while completing high school at night.After serving 4 yrs. as journeyman carpenter, I passed the very long test to become Master Carpenter at age 22.I worked on many construction projects in Memphis for various companies including Allen O'hara.When I was 25 I took a break from construction and spent 15 years in the auto industry first as salesman then used car manager and my final 7 years as Business Manager in New Car Dealerships. This experience served me well in the management of people. I attended every sales school, class, insurance college, convention, and mgmt. training available during those years.I missed construction and began my own construction co. in Memphis when I was 40 and became a successful licensed building contractor.Wanting out of the city we moved to Harrison, Ar. in 1996 and I went to work in maintenance at NARMC, later transferring to the Construction Dept. Promoted to Construction Supervisor about 9 yrs. ago I went back to school and also become an Asbestos Inspector/Supervisor. I have been at the hospital 22 yrs. now. I once looked forward to retirement but with the recent passing of my wife Elizabeth after a long battle with MS I see no reason to retire. I am 66 in May but enjoy very good health.
