As the Lead Foreign Teacher, I not only taught classes, but also helped the school's non-English speaking management collaborate with their foreign teachers by translating and interpreting during meetings and training teachers. I also developed an interactive learning style for young-learners there.

New Era was a bilingual school that students, to attend it, had to score so high on a series of tests. While these students were extremely bright, none of them had the level of English needed to study in it. My job was to take this incoming class (most of these students barely knew the alphabet) and in two semesters, bring them up to the point where they could study and listen to lectures in English. I had to develop and teach my own curriculum, which included a mix of in-class situational projects and extracurricular immersion activities. By the end of the program, I could speak full-speed English in class and each student could take accurate notes on the lecture.
