Responsible for $16MM worth of Industrial Wastewater Systems (IWS) Products Group sales in the East, South and Mid-west regions. Job responsibilities include; management of senior sales staff and application engineers, developing sales & marketing strategies, hiring representatives, and training the sales force. I also served as a key member of the IWS Executive Management Team. This senior management team sets long term business strategies, evaluates business trends and makes key business decisions.

Managed the Warrendale engineering department for USFilter’s Industrial Wastewater Systems Division. The staff consisted of 20 engineers and designers responsible for the complete design of wastewater treatment systems ranging from basic equipment supply to large turnkey systems. Worked closely with the sales department to develop engineering estimates and ensure that proposals meet the client’s specifications. Manpower utilization was improved by balancing the workload and limiting outside engineering services. A manpower forecasting Excel model was developed to predict future manpower requirements.

Developed and managed an advanced thermophilic biological technology for treating high strength organic waste streams and sludges. Job responsibilities included liaison between USFilter and the patent holder, sales, proposal accuracy and pricing, product standardization and development, marketing and training. A sales kit was designed that included literature, product video, sizing criteria and PowerPoint presentation to enable the existing sales force to promote the product. Developed a computer model to accurately size systems, determine equipment requirements and calculate operating costs.

Responsible for managing the design, installation and commissioning of industrial wastewater treatment systems. The job responsibilities included proposal coordination, development of schedules and management of project personnel. This position required continuous coordination between the client and the design team to ensure that the client’s expectations were met while maintaining the budget. Installation and start-up services were also managed. These responsibilities included negotiations with subcontractors, construction review meetings and supervision of start-up personnel.
