As Instructional Coach and Department Head, I directly coached approximately 20 faculty members in the World Language and Social Studies departments in developing effective, standards-based instructional materials and activities for 900+ students.◆ Designed and implemented 21 hours of job-embedded professional development and training for over 80 faculty members with a focus on using the data team process to analyze instructional outcomes.◆ As a member of the Academic Review Team, planned and coordinated organization-wide initiatives to ensure faculty effectiveness and productivity.◆ Spearheaded part of the school accreditation process including following up on the self-assessment reporting and concentrating on organizational improvement, resulting in the maximum accreditation term.

As State Office Resource Teacher, I managed day-to-day activities of a million-dollar Teaching American History grant awarded by the federal government to the Hawaiʻi Department of Education. Among other functions I collaborated with school administrators across the state to meet the needs of schools in remote areas, with small budgets, and/or with limited opportunities to partake in high-quality professional development.■ Coordinated and facilitated monthly meetings with grant stakeholders to plan, design, and deliver effective professional development programs, workshops, and events for teachers.■ Gathered and analyzed feedback from program participants and drafted program, financial, and other reports for local grant partners, the Hawaiʻi Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of Education.
