Presently managing a Dairy Farm in Pakistan. The farm is 3 years old with 168 head of cattle. The most interesting accomplishment is the farm has turned a modest profit based on adding specific controls and feed management. The cows are purchased in Australia and shipped to Pakistan. I have 2 Partners.... both in the US since they were young but also Pakistan citizens. Here is the unique way the farm is remotely managed.... 24 security cameras, 4 guards, Skype meetings daily, controlled reporting and a solid management team of dedicated workers.Our Dairy that we sell the milk to is Nestle. The farm is located 80 miles from Lahore in a region known for Dairy farms. I can say this..... it is not easy and all my life experience have truly helped in our success.... not without heartache and issues but rewarding in that it was treated as a project with an on-going SWOT analysis done quarterly. Our goal is to grow the Farm to 2500 head within 10 years.We recently made a decision to buy our livestock from the US and the Netherlands. The reason is because the milk production per cow is much greater, they seem healthier, stronger and seem to be able to withstand the hot Pakistan summers.DRINK MILK!
