I co-chair the XRSI Privacy and Safety Framework working group and provide insight and guidance regarding XR industry best practices. As an XRSI advisor and advocate for immersive technology privacy and safety tools, I have presented on panels at Augmented World Expo, Metaverse Safety Week, and have been interviewed by international news outlets regarding the ethical use of AI and XR technologies (ie. augmented and virtual reality).The framework is a free, globally accessible baseline rulebook built by a diverse set of experts from various domains, including privacy and cybersecurity, cloud computing, immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, legal, artists, product design, and engineering. The framework sets a baseline set of standards, guidelines, and best, regulation-agnostic, practices. It incorporates privacy requirements drawn from the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidance, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA), and other evolving laws. The framework is designed to adapt and include novel requirements as new regulations come into effect.

As Chief Technology Officer and co-founder, I supported all company activities related to technology development and distribution. The technical team I created leveraged immersive technologies (ie. augmented reality, virtual reality, machine learning, spatial computing, natural language processing, digital twins, mixed reality, metaverse) to create next generation software. My background in systems design and community building helped dramatically grow the company personnel, capabilities, and business relationships. My efforts led to significant year-over-year revenue growth (ie. 1000%+). I secured contracts as varied as the development of emotional intelligence training content to the creation of three-dimensional concepts for the interior design of spacecraft. Informed by my aerospace experience supporting human spaceflight, I spearheaded the creation of our workforce development platform focused on helping companies rapidly train their employees.

Our content was shown in locations such as the White House, the UN General Assembly, and the World Economic Forum in Davos.Credited as the Lead Unity 3D developer The Last Goodbye, directed by Gabo Arora. The Last Goodbye was created in collaboration with Steven Spielberg's USC Shoah Foundation and the United Nations. This interactive experience premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and travelled throughout North America to wide acclaim.

Supported the NASA Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT), Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD), and Office of Human Capital (OHCM). Developed digital twin pipelines using LIDAR and 3D engines. Created data visualization, simulation, and decision support software for NASA. Contributed to the development of an innovation accelerator (LAUNCH) which was a collaboration between NASA, Nike, US State Department, and USAID. Advised executive staff and produced historic reports which informed President Barack Obama about options for the future of U.S. human spaceflight and the state of the space agency.My efforts helped grow our portfolio of multi-million dollar management consulting contracts, produced patents and awards, and were featured in mass media throughout the globe.
