Dennis Carl is a Network Engineering and Comp Sci Teacher at Giddings ISD. He possess expertise in integration, security, networking, cloud computing, teaching and 15 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Where to begin ... Dennis is one of those rare individuals that encompasses the "entire package". He can visualize the solution; he can research the various options; he can "sell" the solution to the target customer(s); and, he can implement the entire solution, including personally providing end-user training. I have worked with Dennis on everything from LPARs to security enhancements to wireless/mobile proofs of concept. But, his greatest impact on -- and for -- me was while I had been tasked (as the Project Manager) with rolling-out remote connectivity of 110-130 Sergeant Areas for the Texas Department of Public Safety. Initially, we had no real direction; we had no facilities (i.e. no staging area, no lab, etc.); we had no help/FTEs; we had no real managerial/executive sponsorship; etc. And, we had no budget ... Nothing for hardware. Nothing for travel. Nothing. But, in working with Dennis, we developed procedures and processes; we experimented with various types of hardware; we built a lab out of a storage room; we "recycled" viable computers and peripherals from a neighboring division; we developed our own internal marketing and education materials; etc. And, we did what was said could simply *not* be done. I attribute a majority of the success of this project directly to Dennis for his leadership skills, his unselfishness and his many, many talents. Would I work with him, again? In a heartbeat!"
