Deliver a wide range of general legal services to clients in areas such as contract negotiations, compliance, dispute resolution, litigation, intellectual property, cybersecurity, data privacy, employment law, artificial intelligence and antitrust law. Lead a diverse team of lawyers and legal professionals and outside counsel in support of these activities.

Led a diverse team of lawyers and legal professionals scattered across the US and outside counsel. Managed the provision of legal support in shaping, negotiating and closing large and complex cloud computing, artificial intelligence, professional services, and software licensing contracts with customers across the US.

Led the legal support function to Microsoft’s US Central Region Commercial Enterprise group - a team of over 1,000 sales, services, marketing and technical professionals based in 18 states who served Microsoft’s largest customers and delivered nearly $4 Billion in revenue. Primary legal responsibilities involved shaping and negotiating a wide range of licensing, cloud computing, digital transformation, consulting services and support agreements, and providing general legal counsel in the areas of antitrust law, compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, intellectual property law, employment law and dispute resolution. Managed a team of 5 legal professionals and outside counsel. Participated actively as a member of the Microsoft US Central Region Commercial Enterprise leadership team.

Between July 1996 to January 1998 I provided legal support to the Midwest & Great Lakes regions of IBM North America – the primary sales and marketing arm of IBM. Responsible for agreements involving the sale of hardware, the licensing of software and the provision of professional services to large industry-based customers, small and medium-sized businesses and public-sector accounts. Managed outside counsel in connection with commercial and employment-related claims and litigation.Between May 1992 to July 1996 I provided legal support to the IBM Printing Systems Division – a $2 Billion unit of IBM with its own integrated development, manufacturing, sales and services operations at its Boulder, Colorado and Norwalk, Connecticut operations. Successfully negotiated multi-million dollar in-bound Original Equipment Manufacturer and licensing agreements with leading technology vendors.
