I am responsible for the overall operations of MMG Cardiovascular/ Pulmonary services. I maintain efficient and effective processes for patients, physicians, and staff through personnel management, analysis of departmental procedures and successful implementation of new processes. I am responsible for guiding, directing and managing all practice coordinators, supervisors and managers and I am responsible for assisting and consulting with Administration in providing leadership, direction, growth and administrative operations to ensure accomplishment of objectives and goals. MY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops a vision and strategic direction.Works collaboratively with the Division Chiefs and Medical Directors to achieve the vision and strategic objectives.Provides management leadership across multiple sites.Works in conjunction with the physicians within the Division to develop and expand the practice.Responsible for analysis and improvement of patient flow and workflow processes, space utilization and coordination of resources.Plans and implements overall departmental policies, procedures and services to increase patient satisfaction, quality of patient care, and efficient use of physician time.Responsible for monitoring and implementing quality assurance programs. Manages all clinical and clerical employees, including interview and selection process, and performance evaluations. Maintains adequately staffed department.Responsible monitoring of departmental budgets.Resolves any conflicts and problems within the office.Attends monthly physician meetings.Responsible for ensuring business practices of referrals and authorizations as well as working closely coordinating with central business office.

Technical SupervisorDirect supervisory responsibility for Enhanced External Counterpulsation, Electrophysiology and Pediatric Cardiology Departments. Acts as the departmental liaison for Information Services and Materials Resource Management Responsible for contract negotiations with vendors Responsible for $20 million in inventory Cath lab project manager for cath lab renovations Responsible for Risk Management coordination and Failed Medical Device analysis, including product safety recall management. Maintains database for tracking of all failed medical devices per CHS policy. Responsible for monitoring vendor visitation of both pharmaceutical and device representatives into the lab. Manages all purchasing activities, with emphasis upon ordering, maintenance, and cost control of supply inventory. Maintains consignment and purchased inventory. Responsible for supply contract maintenance, including participation in new contract negotiations and monthly utilization reports. Provides work-up, calculations and completes CAWP and other associated forms for Capital Projects. Works closely with Architecture Project Manager on all Cath Lab projects.

Assisted with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician. Administered medication under the direction of the physician. Documented the current clinical picture and recorded designated information in the patient record. Utilized verbal and non-verbal communication in interactions with patients, families, visitors, physicians, nursing and hospital personnel. Conveyed relevant information to physicians, administration and staff. Participated in performance improvement activities. Assisted in development of policies, procedures and standards of care reflective of current practice/literature.
