Dennis has more than 30 years of experience in public policy, advocacy, and government and non-profit service. Dennis is passionate about student achievement and was delighted to join the Foundation’s development team in 2015 to advance the work of the community colleges. He was selected as the organization’s executive director in 2019. Dennis is a Bay Area native and an active member of community organizations such as the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, and the NOVAworks executive committee and its foundation. He also represents the community college district at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, where Dennis previously worked as the group’s education policy director and senior vice-president for more than eleven years. Dennis is a graduate of Santa Clara University and has two grown daughters. He is a member of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Team. He enjoys backpacking, hiking, woodworking, and guitar playing.
