After 39 years across several corporate sales and marketing jobs, I was given an opportunity to step out and do something I’ve always wanted to do. Utilizing our small farm to grow nutritious Microgreens direct-to-consumer for local delivery, garden vegetables and fresh flowers for our local Farmer’s Market, as well as help others learn to have have successful vegetable gardens. I’ve been growing vegetables in some capacity for most of my life, feeding my family, extended family members and friends as well as preserving food for winter month’s thru canning, freezing and dehydrating. A labor of love with huge benefits. We’re not designed to eat so much sugar and chemically processed foods. Life gets busy, we eat conveniently, making unhealthy choices. I know, I did it and carried extra weight for many years. That’s no longer the case and it’s directly related to the food I eat.(Obviously exercise is a key component too)I believe if 1 in 4 households grew a garden, even just a few containers of vegetables, we can make a positive difference in what we eat.
