Graphic Matters presents the work of visually wayward, societally involved and/or socially critical designers. Our program (exhibitions, workshops, open calls, education) incites professionals and youth to take a critical look at visual culture. With presentations in a specific (public) context we create room for dialogue. Additionally, we offer them a chance to discover and develop their knowledge and skills. By making designers and youth aware of the power and impact of design, we contribute to the quality of contemporary visual communication. Properly (learning how to) view and visualise is just as important als reading and writing. By stimulating visual literacy, we promote connection, independence and equality in society.As a director I am responsible for the artistic, financial and corporate policy. I manage a team of 12 professionals, freelancers and interns.

The Blind Walls Gallery presents impressive and meaningful murals inspired by various stories of Breda.Together with the municipality and property owners we invite international graphic designers, street artists, typographers and illustrators to update the image of the city.

The 3sec.gallery presents the work of international designers at a very particular location. Every three months a new series of posters is presented along the Chasse Parking entrance. The name refers to the time it takes for visitors to drive by and for sharp graphics to be understood.

As a cultural entrepreneur I combine my passion for visual culture with my talent for event management. I love starting up and organizing new cultural concepts like festivals, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, etc. My aim is to create challenging platforms for the next generation designers based on their social impact. MOTI, Museum Of The Image belongs in a visual culture where disciplines merge and an explosive amount of images have become a part of our daily lives. The world of visual communication has become a sanctuary for text, images, dynamism and change. By broadening its horizon from graphic design to visual culture the museum attempts to show the dynamic world of film, design, photography, fashion, visual arts, archi­tecture, science and gaming. In the previous century the field of graphic design has laid a foundation for the present-day visual culture. The craft used to be a niche and avant-garde, now its everywhere and for everyone.As curator I was in charge of exhibitions like Design-It-Yourself, Comix,Hotpix & Tragix by Peter Pontiac, Crafts Matter@DDW, Pop-Up Generation (curated by Lidewij Edelkoort), Grapic Detour in Berlin (curated by Erik Kessels), Another show about promotion and advertising material by Stefan Sagmeister and lectures like Overwerk and Masters of Amateurism (icw Premsela.org).

The House for Visual Culture explores the influence of visual culture on individuals and society. We try to stimulate the use of visual expression in a changing (local) society.As interim director I act as an intermediair to combine forces of (local) government, higher vocational education institutes, cultural organisations and (creative) industry/entrpeneurs in order to create a stimulating environment in which visual culture can develop and shape our future.

For artist we are a professional partner in developing their career in The Netherlands. As creative director I am responsible for all exhibitions and events.

AKV|St.Joost is an art school located in Breda and 's-Hertogenbosch offering bachelor and master courses in fine art, photography, audiovisual design, graphic design, illustration, animation, interaction design, spaticial design and ceramics.In this period I adjusted part of the curriculum of the last trimester of all BFA and BD studies in order to establish a better connection between art/design education and professional requirements after graduating.
