Developing software in the R&D devops division.Worked on Eclipse RCP applications, Spring Framework micro-services running in K8s, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), and Oxygen XML plugins, using many different versions of Java, Docker, K8s, Gradle, Jenkins, Postgres, other tools.

Created an Eclipse plug-in based product to test digital telecom equipment. This involved using EMF, TPTP, and BIRT Eclipse projects.Developed a JFACE wizard JAVA application to convert wave files to many different encoded speech frame formats (Adaptive Mult-Rate, EFR, TRAU, a-Law).Developed a new MGTS (Message Generator Traffic Simulator) client/server JAVA application to help customers diagnose and troubleshoot problems with protocol stacks running on the p and m-series hardware.

Led a team of software engineers to develop element manager software to produce release 3.0 of Cisco Media Gateway Manager (MGM)Decreased the amount of time required to create end-to-end PVC connections over 50% for Cisco's 6400 Service Connection Manager. This resulted in SBC being able to handle more DSL provisioning requests from customers.Developed installation and high-availability software for Juniper to produce Feature Pack (FP) 1 and 2 of NetScreen-Security Manager 2004

Learned, transitioned, maintained, and enhanced Cable Provisioning Software (CPS) that consisted of a Java user interface, Application Server, Server Manager, TOD, DHCP, TFTP, and DNS servers running on Solaris and Windows NT. Revenue was generated by increased demand for the software and establishing partnerships with other companies to market the software to a broader customer base.

Conducted object-oriented analysis and design of system requirements; wrote object-oriented software, and integrated network management products into the software baseline.Received an employee Excellence Award by evaluating and implementing over 75 software program trouble reports in 6 months while staffing levels were decreased by 50%. This helped to win the customer’s confidence in the software resulting in a positive fielding decision of the network management software.Provided the customer with a network management solution for legacy Circuit Switches, IP devices, and High Capacity Line-of-Sight radios by customizing Hewlett Packard’s OpenView product, adding SNMPv3 knowledge, integrating proprietary MIBS, and developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) software to meet system specifications. This was completed before the scheduled due date and was integrated into the baseline with no further problems reported.

Developed real-time embedded software and analyzed flight data to improve a Radar Warning Receiver’s flight operational program.Allowed the pilot to detect frequency and PPI changing RADAR by designing, implementing, and testing complex algorithms in Assembler on a DIGITAL VAX/VMS mini-computer targeted for an embedded microprocessor.Developed software to pinpoint hardware failures of sophisticated RADAR equipment.Designed test equipment and developed software to automate the production of LORAL built RADAR systems, which resulted in finding hardware defects in a timely manner.
