I was with Dana Corporation for twenty years holding many Marketing & Sales Positions, ranging from Sales to Marketing Manager. I developed product launch campaigns, directed advertisement and promotions for diverse product lines (fluid power components, Heavy Truck components, aftermarket auto & truck parts, and conveyor belts). Selling elevators and escalators and associated maintenance programs involved liaison work with some of the country’s largest high rise and commercial contractors and property managers. I was responsible for reviewing the plans and specifications (take-offs as they were known in the industry) and relaying all the details to our engineering & quote department. The initial installation was mainly a bid process, where as selling the maintenance contracts was just plain old fashion selling.
