Managed the art team and production for Medium’s seven in-house publications and brought in 3 creative industry awards, including American Illustration, within six months of arrival.Oversaw the launch of special content projects such as Medium’s #StopAsianHate blog, The Medium Writers Challenge, and Juneteenth art package for Momentum (a blog about the fight against anti-Black racism).Absorbed the brand marketing design team within nine months and oversaw production of creative assets for feature and product launches across various channels (email, landing pages, app, social).

Founded the division’s first art department and created compelling art for News’ largest and most enterprising stories spanning all desks from Investigations to Entertainment and Culture.Hired and managed a team of 12 designers, photo editors, illustrators, copy editors, and motion graphic designers to over 65 awards from the Emmys, Society of Publication Designers, the Shorty Awards, and others.Led the BuzzFeedNews.com site launch and rebrand that was named one of the “Top 10 Brand Revamps of 2018” by AdWeek and generated press in AIGA, Computer Arts, Fast Company, and Under Consideration.Supported the launch of over 12 TV shows with various partners like Spotify, Netflix, Twitter, and Facebook Watch by establishing the visual identity for each show from pitch through post-production.Produced special marketing projects such as a BuzzFeed print newspaper, an OOH campaign with the NYC Mayor’s Office that was seen on all subways and taxis, and a microsite for special coverage of the DOHA Forum in Qatar.

Designed 2–3 feature layouts and departments per week, working with photo editors, editors, and commissioning illustrators week-to-week. Helped generate new ideas for the 2015 redesign of the magazine.

Produced monthly feature layouts and editorial packages, including a 2013 James Beard Award winner. Directed photoshoots on-set, assigned illustrations, oversaw color correction, and created tablet layouts.

Produced two quarterly publications, Smash and USTA Magazine, additionally with flagship magazine. Transitioned the teen publication, Smash, to online only. Created advertorial and marketing materials in support of editorial.

Create layouts for Front- and Back-of-book. Attend photoshoots for Cover, Style and Dine sections as needed. Served as art director on three issues. Worked with editor-in-chief, section editors and freelancers while laying out features and managing designers.

Created collateral for studio clients in the healthcare, education, and business sectors, including a prototype magazine for a B2B company.Designed a closed-circulation monthly. Oversaw the entire process: design, color correcting, preflighting files and reviewing press proofs.
