Configuration Designer for new Road Reclaimer (Rotary Mixer) to meet Tier 4 emissions.

Product design and documentation for less invasive treatment options for cardiovascular disease. This includes ballon angioplasty catheters and stent systems.

-Directed the redesign efforts of cervical neck and lumbar back traction units. This included working with manufacturing engineering at other sites. The products were redesigned with a 40% cost savings from the previous version after an initial goal of 30%. -Communication with cross functional teams including marketing, purchasing, quality, regulatory and manufacturing.-Responsible for development and adherence to project schedules.-Product models and drawings creation using Pro/E and Solidworks.-Responsible for implementation of Solidworks CAD system.-Design of injection molded parts for multiple projects including redesign of main product (Select)-Buildup of prototype and first article designs.-Performed Verification and Validation testing on first article parts and assemblies.-Communication with vendors both local and abroad.-Documentation and sign off authority of engineering change orders.-Travel to teammates and vendors as required.

-Member of Internal Research and Development team. -A new gun handling system for the US Marines was developed in a 9 month time frame in support of the MV-22 Osprey introduction into battle in Iraq. I was responsible for nearly all of the mechanical interfaces developed. The Remote Guardian System was designed as a bolt in kit that required no major changes to the plane itself. Testing of the system was completed and an official program was announced in January of 2008.-Conceptual, preliminary and detail design of the Crusader Howitzer System and Future Combat System for the Army and the Advanced Gun System for the Navy. -Use of Pro/E advanced modes such as Simplified Representations, Layouts, Family Tables and Interchange Groups.-Perform finite element analysis utilizing ANSYS Pro/FEA in order to optimize design.
