About Dennis Kibet

I've grown my experience as a seasoned Creative Director with a demonstrated history of working with like-minded individuals and known game players in the entertainment industry in Nairobi and beyond since 2012. You might want to know how I ended up here. Let me tell it to you in brief. This started after frustrations I was getting from my then Graphic Designers when we were starting out with hosting events back in 2012. We were being overcharged on designs and the designs were never delivered on time, thus forcing me to download a whole Adobe suite that was shared to me by a friend in campus and learn it on my own. Thanks to YouTube University, I managed to be proficient in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Auditions and After Effects. In less than 6 months, I was doing the company's events' graphics and art direction. Our events were well attended but we could not maintain our streak when one event we did was attended in large numbers until we could not manage the crowd. Cops had to be involved. Business after became hard and later on my business partners left. Alone, I took around 6 months to rethink the business. I then decided to re-brand the business. I opened a new Events' creation company named URBAN creations and then converted the original company into a 360 events, design, digital and branding agency, driven by the singular goal to make our clients brands succeed. As an integrated communications agency, we have managed to secure some of Kenya's sought after brands and worked with them in per project basis and retainer. i.e Stay Open with Tuborg Campaign, Kenya Nights Turns 10 with Major Lazer & Themba, Diabetes Day 2019, Safaricom's Futuristic Ad Challenge just but to name a few.Since then I have grown my skills in Negotiation, Business Planning, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Planning. I've managed to host and do over 20+ events which some include working with international talent and also been a Creative in different positions with different projects and brands where my contribution was and has been felt in different capacities with organizations like KCB Group, Safaricom PLC, NYS, Kenya Nights, Diabetes Kenya among others.

I formed this company with two colleagues, one studying business and the other studying programming. Initially, it was an events’ creations company but in the process, we were being overcharged on designs and the designs were never delivered on time, thus forcing me to download a whole Adobe suite that was shared to me by a friend in campus and learn it on my own. Thus, the growth and later on when my business partners left, converted it into a 360 events, design, digital and branding agency, driven by the singular goal to make our clients brands succeed.Over time, we realized that communications is what many small SMEs & VSMEs struggled with especially with the rates they were getting from well established Agencies and media houses. Therefore, a need to cater for this ever hungry target market where with combined experience in the experiential scene, and working with clients first hand, we integrated it well into our list of services. Fast forward 5 years later, we have evolved to become a force to reckon with in the experiential and corporate scene.
