- Strengthening and maintaining bilateral relations in the field of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality between the Netherlands and Germany;- Building and fostering partnerships between German and Dutch businesses & government;- Exchange of knowledge and best practices with and between social organizations, companies, research institutes and governments on State and Federal level.

The Club of Agricultural Diplomats in Germany is a multinational association of diplomatic representatives who work at the foreign embassies in Berlin and look after the field of agriculture there. The club serves as a platform for the exchange of information and experience, especially with actors in German agricultural policy.

My role was in coordination, directing and realizing commitments made and monitoring the project in terms of content and process. Important task is the coordination with partners, project leader and subject specialists to achieve results. The National Action Plan for Fruit and Vegetables (NAGF) focuses on stimulating the consumption of sufficient fruit and vegetables in the Netherlands. Indeed, the Nutrition Center recommends eating both 250 grams of vegetables and 2 servings (200 grams) of fruit daily. According to recent figures from the RIVM, the Dutch eat only about 127 grams of vegetables per day. And that hasn't improved for some time. For the health of the Dutch population it is necessary that this changes. In the NAGF, business and government are working together to achieve this.

- Advising on, preparing and participating in European negotiations with regard to food safety & meat hygiene;- Testing the feasibility of (interim) negotiation results and formulating counter-proposals; - Together with the Ministry of VWS, Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and the industry, translating negotiation results to the Dutch situation;- Updating Dutch laws and regulations in the field of food safety & meat hygiene; - Advocating for support and actively responding to developments.

- Advising on, preparing and participating in negotiations with, among others, US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, India and China on market access for Dutch plant products;- Testing the feasibility of (interim) negotiation results and formulating counterproposals; - Translating negotiation results into practice together with inspection services, NVWA and industry;- Securing adopted plant regulations of the disbanded product and company boards within the national government;- Advocating for support and actively responding to developments.

- Together with the North, East, South and West districts and the European Commission, realizing the adequate Operational Programs European Regional Development Fund (€ 500 mln);- Monitoring alignment with national policy and European requirements;- Mediator in conflicts and process accelerator in slow processes and discussions.

- Working with government and industry to ensure a smooth transition of tasks from the Horticultural Product Board to the central government.

- Advising on and directing (inter)national policy;- Formulating annual plans and policy visions;- Managing a 5 million euro research program;- Advocating for support and actively responding to developments.

- Advising the sector on government policy and position in various (social) discussions;- Lobbying and networking towards government and other (interest) organizations;- Project management of various research and communication projects.
