Responsible for the design, development, and deployment of Enterprise monitoring solutions and power management systems in the data centers:• Managed the team that analyzed, designed, configured, deployed, and maintained the HPE IT Operations Management suite of tools• HPE Tools included SiteScope, Business Service Management (BSM), Business Process Monitor (BPM), Operation Management (OMi), Network Node Monitor (NNMi), Operations Analytics (OpsA), • Monitored several thousand servers as well as the network and perimeter devices• Designed highly customized system monitoring and alerting for new applications and servers• Used script generated synthetic transactions to test and monitor the health of over 25 internal and external web sites and transactions• As a direct consequence of the specialized and predictive monitoring, system availability improved from 95% to 99.9%• Leveraged HPE Server Automation (SA) and Operations Orchestration (OO) to increase productivity by automating tasks such as provisioning, patching, and compliance reporting across physical and virtual server environments• As a result of implementing the automation tools, patching time went from 5+ hours per night to several minutes and system deployments went from 4 days to 5+ to 15 minutes• Responsible for deployment, automation, and management of the APC power management and access control systems in all datacenters. This suite of products is used to monitor and alert power status and consumption, and to secure physical access to the racks in the data centers.• Proactively scanned servers, network equipment, and appliances using the Nessus Professional tool to identify potential security risks• Worked on the project team that devised and planned the projects required to build two new $26M data centers in Columbus and Fort Worth• Responsible for managing the activities of vendors and contractors engaged to build and support the new data center

Directed the activities of an IT Department that supports the ERP requirements of a large manufacturing operation and POS operations in 21 geographically dispersed retail outlets. Reported to the Chief Operating Officer.• Re-designed the network infrastructure to improve reliability and throughput. The upgrade included deployment of fiber optic cable within the plant and replacement of aging switches and firewalls resulting in a 75% increase in network throughput.• Re-designed the data center to improve efficiency, maintenance capability, and business continuity• Replaced several aged servers to improve reliability and increase processing capability.• Reviewed the technology requirements of the stores and implemented a plan to upgrade network capacity, improve security, and remote management capability• Managed the IT and telephony effort for the build out of 5 new stores• Improved Business Continuity to over two hours from five minutes• Reviewed the implementation of the Sage Mas500 ERP and Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) to identify opportunities for improvement• Reviewed business processes to ensure the current technology implementation is aligned with the goals of the business. We replaced an existing Nortel PBX system that will reduce telephony costs by $15K/year.• Developed and implemented a Social Media marketing plan• Performed a PCI DSS audit, implemented controls and procedures, and managed corporate compliance• Managed a Cost Roll Up Project that identified the issues that were preventing Malley’s from properly capturing and reporting costs so that it could more accurately determine selling prices. The project identified issues with policies, procedures, and inventory management and costing.

Directed all IT planning, budgeting, and operational initiatives for this $180 Million, 1100+ employee interactive marketing agency. Held autonomous decision-making authority for all IT development and expansion issues, with a focus on IT organization design, voice and data communications, system integration, emerging technologies, enterprise architectures, data center operations, strategic alliances, and data security. Managed three direct and 18 indirect professionals at three locations with a $10 million operating/capital budget. Reported to the President.
