Key responsibilities: • TOC development: Review and support in developing the theories of change for funded projects.• Map/select new partners for projects: Complete research of partner organizations for future projects in Kenya. Contact pre-selected organizations to get access to their portfolio of projects and other information needed to perform their due diligence. Assess potential interests for LDF based on the type of projects, expertise, local presence, etc. Submit a proposal on the shortlisted organizations with whom LDF can establish a relationship.• Concept development and project design: Assist the LDF regional agent and LDC Kenya Country Head with developing and preparing project proposals in East Africa (with Kenya being a priority). • Project coordination: Work closely with the LDF regional agent and LDF project managers and assist in the coordination of existing projects of LDF in East Africa (Ethiopia & Uganda) and,more broadly, in Africa. Particular tasks will include monitoring and evaluating project activities, field visits, ad-hoc support on the ground, and project activities. • Project follow-up and monitoring: Participate in quarterly calls (SteerCos). Assist in preparing and completing project documents, templates for LDF Board and Advisory Committee meetings, and other deliverables.• Project audit &evaluation: Assist in evaluating project results in Africa, i.e., collect quantitative and qualitative data, conduct a study, and submit an evaluation report outlining specific recommendations. - Communications: Take pictures, make videos, and prepare interviews of project beneficiaries during field visits for internal and external LDC/LDF communications. Prepare articles and blogs for LDF and LDC media channels (LDC intranet, LDF website, Social Media). • Develop a mid- or long-term strategy for developing LDF operations in Kenya (where to play, what partnership model, how to synergize with LDC, etc.).
