Recording Head Operation - Plating Group - May 2009 – February 2010 ( 10 months) Selected Contributions:Improved uptime on the etch tool set, comprised of 6 Cu and Oxide etch tools, from 89% to 93% by improving the filter wetting process and filter differential pressure transducer calibration, and training Maintenance Technicians on the new procedures. Memory Products Group – ST and RRAM Development - May 2008 – May 2009 (1 year 1 month) Selected Contributions:Managed the installation of a dual scara robot 10 process module silicon wafer cleaning system with 22 possible intended process paths. Released the cleaning system to Process Engineering and Manufacturing on time. Assisted Process Engineering with process development for backside clean, bevel-etch, polymer removal, and particle clean.Improved baseline clean tool uptime from 64% to 90% in 3 quarters, by resolving scara robot reliability, and chemical delivery issues Identified a backside particulate signature coming from the clean tools ceramic end-effectors. Worked with the equipment supplier to upgrade the end effectors to an edge-grip style end-effector, that eliminated this backside particulate problem.Recording Head Operation - Photolithography Group - May 2007 – May 2008 (1 year 1 month)Selected Contributions:Completed a Lean Manufacturing OEE Improvement project on high-pressure pneumatic pumps involving the tool supplier and pump OEM that improved MTBF from less than 80 hrs to greater than one year, realizing an annual cost saving of $155,000.

Seagate - Recording Head Operation – Photolithography Group Selected Contributions:Optimized photoresist/PMGI undercuts across all liftoff operations reducing liftoff rework from 20% to 4 %, and scrap from 3% to less than 1%.Designed, assembled, Installed, and qualified developer absorbency controllers on 5-batch develop tools, that automatically refresh the developer supply to maintain a constant resist removal rate. Based on the use of an Ocean Optics UV-VIS Spectrometer, the controller measured absorbency of the dissolved photoactive compound in the develop bath at the 250nm wavelength. Seagate

Smith Ambulance, was a privately owned ambulance service based out of St Paul MN, providing basic and advanced life support coverage for Parts of Ramsey, Hennepin, and Dakota Counties. Smith Ambulance and Methodist Hospital teamed up to train and employ some of the first paramedics in the state of Minnesota.
