Dr. Dennis Pagano is Managing Director of CQSE America LP, which provides consulting services to several internationally renowned companies, to improve and maintain their software quality assurance and test processes. Dennis manages all aspects of the company and supervises all employees. He is responsible for the company’s strategy, including financial planning, marketing and sales, talent recruiting and business development.Before his current position, Dennis has been working as Software Quality Expert at CQSE GmbH, Munich, Germany, for five years, where he helped numerous Fortune Global 500 companies to improve their software quality assurance processes. He led dozens of software development teams to the sustained production of high-quality code and provided their management with the means to continuously keep software quality under control. Moreover, he served as Software Quality Auditor in many occasions. Before that, Dennis worked as team lead in two large software engineering research projects funded by the European Union.Dennis earned his Ph.D. in Software Engineering from Technische Universität München (TUM) with highest distinction (Summa Cum Laude). He published over a dozen scientific publications in renowned international peer-reviewed conferences, journals, and books, which have been cited over 1,400 times. His research was decorated amongst others with two Most Influential Paper Awards (one at MSR and one at the International Requirements Engineering Conference), recognizing his works as the most impactful of the decade for both research and practice. Moreover, he was decorated with the President’s Award for Outstanding Contributions as research fellow at TUM for two consecutive years.Dennis co-chaired scientific conferences and worked as program committee member in multiple occasions. He also served as scientific reviewer for many renowned journals and conferences, including IEEE Software magazine, ACM Transactions on Internet Technology, Journal of Systems and Software, International Requirements Engineering Conference, International Conference on Mining Software Repositories, and the International Journal of Empirical Software Engineering. He frequently speaks on national and international industry and research conferences.Dennis holds two patents in the United States and in Germany.
