Our purpose is to facilitate projects that have real grassroots support and local buy-in that result in sustainable progress. I became the Practice Leader for the Austin office. Brinson Benefits has offices now in Dallas, Ft. Worth and Austin and is one of the most successful employee benefit advisory firms in North and Central Texas.

Co-founder and senior-most executive of Internet ASP that provides technology and services for the financial services business sector. In 1996, spun the company out from its original parent, Amicus Communication, L.P., after a period of R&D and early prototyping. Built the company to dominate its marketplace by claiming as clients 43% of the top independent broker-dealers and nearly 35,000 registered reps. Managed the company to profitability as well as year-on-year growth.

Executive responsible for Dell's server marketing and sales support organizations for its Major Accounts division within Dell USA (a $5B unit), consisting of marketing personnel, field System Consultants, System Engineers, server Account Execs and server Sales Reps. Increased Dell's overall server market share nearly 300% and accounted for $110MM in server revenue during Dell's fiscal year 1995. Material in the development of Dell's server roadmap and in the company's market strategy, including the origination and branding of the PowerEdge product line of servers.

Co-founding executive officer with full P&L responsibility for a corporate staff that handles all company-wide MIS, product evaluations, product selections and strategies, vendor contract negotiations and relations, and enterprise-wide technical service procedures and strategies.Co-authored the company's business plan and participated on the team responsible for raising $16MM in venture capital (from Kleiner, Perkins; Austin Ventures; 3i Ventures; and others). Then, proceeded to build the infrastructure and procedures to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. The company grew from $0 to nearly $60MM in annual sales in three years at which time Evernet had 21 offices in 18 cities across the country and was doing in excess of $1.5MM per month in service revenue alone. In 1992, the company was sold to Control Data.During the initial growth phase of the company, played a prominent role in the acquisition strategy of the twelve companies that Evernet acquired. This included the identification of acquisition candidates, due diligence and contract negotiation.Designed and implemented a 17-city, frame relay WAN and numerous software systems to provide Evernet with the necessary tools to operate as a widely distributed organization. Some of these systems include cc:Mail, Lotus Notes and Platinum accounting as well as several custom-written ones. Also, designed and built a network management center used to support clients with state-of-the-art network management technology.

Co-founder responsible for the development and supervision of all technical services for a local area network and connectivity systems integrator, and for the general direction and management of the company. Expert in the use of NetWare and other LAN operating systems, as well as a host of communications gateways and LAN/WAN associated devices. Experienced in the design of LANs with hundreds to thousands of workstations and WANs covering numerous cities. During the five years of operation, grew the company to profitable revenue of $4.0MM. Personally responsible for nearly $2.0MM of annual revenue. The company was the largest, most respected Novell reseller in the greater Los Angeles area at the time. In 1989, Evernet Systems purchased the company.
