Managed a group of up to 8 consultants and contractors for Astadia, a start-up software as a service (SaaS) consulting company, including projects for Xactly Incent the leading on demand sales person compensation program (SaaS). Projects completed included medium to large business projects involving planning, scheduling, and driving the client project through the Astadia team. Leveraging my human resource background, I assisted clients in development of compensation plans that could be used with on-demand software applications.• Managed multiple client facing projects with full responsibility for profit, gross margin, hours and project deliverables.• Lead clients, partners (on-demand software providers) and Astadia employees/contractors from project inception to completion.• Created company operational efficiencies through improvement of operational processes, leveraging advanced MS Office tools Salesforce.com.

Oversee full range of operations for location with $38M in annual sales, 7 Managers, 20 Team Leaders, and 180-250 staff members as well as multiple third-party, in-store vendors. Maintain corporate and brand culture, delivering top-notch guest service and sustaining strong customer retention. Hold accountability for controlling costs, driving sales, and coordinating payroll. Implement and execute best practice methodologies to meet and exceed sales goals and minimize shrinkage. Recruit, hire, and train associates; schedule and allocate resources across all departments.

Managed multiple store district for leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services with 600 stores in 43 states and $1 billion in annual revenues. Held accountability for administrative operations including facilities and equipment, and P&L performance. Developed and directed store management teams. Coordinated functions with national Human Resource, Finance, Information Systems, and Distribution/Inventory Control Departments. Served as coach for Petco’s Management Achievement Program. Conducted management meetings and training sessions on P&L statements, inventory management, human resources, and customer satisfaction. Developed and implemented fundraisers, promotions and special events with various non-profit animal rescue organizations, animal foundations, and charities.

Managed multifaceted business operations for the nation’s leading retailer and reseller of personal computer-related products and services with 225 stores in 90 major metropolitan markets. Held full P&L control for stores generating from $45 million to $54 million in annual sales. Directed the activities of seven salaried Managers and 85 to 155 employees.
