Internal auditing helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.Responsibilities:* Participate in IT/operational audits and project/program reviews to identify and evaluate key controls* Assist with technology audit work in audits of business processes (integrated audits).* Identify and analyze complex issues, problems and improvement opportunities and develop conclusions and recommendations.* Verify or review audit evidence, prepare audit plans, work papers, findings, status reports and audit report.* Communicate audit results to client area management.* Perform or lead follow-up reviews to ensure that appropriate corrective actions have been implemented by client management.* Assist in training and developing junior auditors.

Role Summary:This position supports the Nationwide Direct Business Solution Area to execute processes to transition applications from test environment to production environment. Collaborate with other roles and teams to support the “Run” organization’s service needs, minimize risk to the test and production environments, and to ensure adherence to enterprise processes. Part of an ITIL operations team to enforce key IT controls.Accomplishments: Successfully helped to complete several ad hoc database requests during resource transition period.  Transitioned incident management responsibilities to the application development team by training developers to use the HP OpenView Service Center application to take ownership of incident tickets.  Created a uniform communication template to communicate various test environment and production environment activities to the application teams. This communication provides a summary of the activity as well as any action that the application teams should take in preparation of the change. Managed and maintained the on going use of the Hudson/Sonar applications for the development team: These applications are critical to the development of in-house applications.

Role Summary:Ensures that all environments (development, test, and production) are in place and operational when required by the teams; acts as liaison between the project team and all infrastructure resources (architects, developers, firewall, etc.); gather requirements to be submitted to the Web Infrastructure Services team; attends request for services meetings (Request for Service); updates the environment design documents as needed.Accomplishments: Successfully implemented a standardized process where customers can submit work requests to the Corporate Internet team. Delivered new ST environment for the application development teams to use for testing and development; the new environment removed application development bottleneck and as a result improved project delivery certainty. Led the application implementation into production for Professional Locator; this effort required creating a release schedule and coordinating the release activities. Established inter-departmental relationship with the Middleware team; created an implementation schedule and weekly meetings to assist with resource scheduling; as a result of these regularly scheduled meetings, the Middleware team was prepared for production application implementation. This reduced the amount of effort required to gather resources to be available on implementation night.
