My management responsibilities include; recruiting, training and supervising full and part-time staff. Additionally I oversee budgets, sales (new business).

Specialized in assisting minor league sports teams in start-up situations, through president and general management transitions and/or changes in ownership. Services included; temporary leadership, staff recruitment, sales coaching, strategic planning and customer retention programs.

I oversaw the sales function of all contracted revenue, which includes; group tickets, hospitality, sponsorship and season tickets. Game day responsibilities include sponsor fulfillment, client/customer servicing and quality control monitoring.

Mcallen, Texas Area

Was enlisted to stabilize front office, put internal controls in-place and create sales and service strategies. Sales efforts resulted in team placing in Top 3 revenue generators in group ticket sales (#1); sponsorship sales (#2) & season ticket sales (#3) among other teams in the 16-team league.

Des Moines, Iowa Area

Dealt with logistics and operational issues in preparation for season. Also was charged with grooming internal candidate for General Manager position. Highlights of this project included; franchise operating for first eight months cash positive and finishing the first season at break-even. Team also posted an NBA Development League best-ever opening night.

Little Rock, Arkansas Area

Operated franchise through the 2006-07 season. Was enlisted by ownership to improve the bottom line, during a five month contract. Was also asked to help owner determine feasibility of continuing operations in Little Rock, AR. End results were reduced losses over prior season and a then D-League record for most group tickets sold in a single season.

Roanoke, Virginia Area

Was hired with franchise as VP of Marketing and after serving that role for 14 months was promoted to team president, a role I held for four seasons. Roanoke franchise was a perennial league-leader in sponsorship sales revenue.

Greater Atlanta Area

Was responsible for operation of the 371-acre Atlanta facility owned by the NHRA. Oversaw all aspects including annual capital projects. During my nearly 5 year tenure we experienced a 22% increase in spectator count at NHRA National Event and a 200% growth in bottom line income, mainly attributable to growth in local racing programs.
