Documentation for certification to ISO -9000-3 was completed in one year, the following year documentation was added to meet ISO-9000-1 Traveled and sourced components from Italy, Germany, England and China in preparation for selling our products in Europe. Sourced gas range components that led to $97,000 in annual savings. Designed residential kitchen ranges for the European market. Heartland was the first North American manufacturer of residential cooking appliance to receive the CE mark. Designed and developed a new line of kitchen cooking appliances for the North American and European market which was awarded Best New Appliance by Appliance Magazine. Developed and performed sales and service training for the North America and Europe markets.. Participated as a vendor in appliance trade shows such as KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) and Domotechnica . Collected and organized customer calls, produced weekly reports which led to reduction in customer call rate on service needed from 11.5% to 5.5% over a 2 year period. Fostered a team oriented environment and trained selected individuals to become team leaders, once fully trained in total quality manufacturing techniques these individuals will be accountable for cost savings as well as process improvement.
