I was recruited by the paper’s original Arts Editor. Though I was a freelance employee, I was basically the film and media editor for the paper. I handled the PR contacts, wrote virtually all of the reviews, coordinated the weekly assignment lists.Curator1978 to 1992 Over two hundred film programs devoted to various directors, international film movements and issues of film history. Among the various programs were Fritz Lang: the Cinema of Fear; Hitchcock: A Shadow of Guilt; The Feminine View: An International Survey of Women Directors; Sci-Fi: the Early Classics; Sembene: the African Screen; The Myth of the West; Boom, Bust, and Fantasy: the Thirties Cinema; Bunuel's Mexico; Fassbinder: Life on the Edge; Dreyer: From the Real to the Transcendental.
