Hitachi is a major global provider of particle therapy systems, used in the treatment of cancer.Whille working exclusively for Hitachi, responsibilties included playing a key role in helping Hitachi secure and close the largest and most significant Proton Therapy project in the industry, at MD Anderson, in Houston TX. additional responsibilities included playing a key strategic conduit role between Hitachi and MD Anderson throughout the three year build of the project. Also, was a key contributor, as a business development lead, on all of Hitachi's Particle Therapy projects and potential projects, globally. Together with Hitachi, formed and headed a JV, Proton Cancer Centers of America (PCCA), which was backed by a $120 M funding commitment by Hitachi, to help drive development efforts and expedite the prolonged sales cycle of particle therapy projects within the US.

Optivus Technology is a privately held Medical Device Manufacturer specializing in developing and marketing products for Proton Beam Radiation Therapy. Optivus, spun off of Loma Linda University Medical Center, in 1993, in order to replicate and market Loma Linda's highly succesful Proton Therapy Center, which was commissioned in 1990 and is the world's first hospital-based proton facility.Responsibilities included leading all business development efforts for all potential proton therapy projects, globally. Was able to develop board level interest at more than 30 major healthcare systems, globally. Such projects included Univ of Florida, MD Anderson, Univ of Pennsylvania, Rinecker Klinikum in Germany, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, in Taiwan; which are all today either treating with proton technology or are in the process of constructing their center.
