CurrentCore OverviewRe-joined AES after 11 years of prior service, with role adjusted to include significant responsibility for legal business aspects as Commercial Director on the Board.Key Roles & Accountabilities:Strategic ContributionsAs a Board Member, contributes strategic inputs on all decisions governing functioning of the company, including Human Resources, Technical, Financial, Marketing, Legal & Risk and Commercial Strategy.Pursues long-term national energy project opportunities, initiating client contact, assessing energy status, developing and costing solutions, submitting and presenting proposals, drafting and negotiating contracts.Motivates for extended use of data systems and knowledge conversion in operations and maintenance management, maintaining in-house monitoring system and user interface for graphical trending and analysis.Commercial LeadershipUpgrades existing client proposals, service conditions and tenders, as required, in line with due diligence processes, targeting and achieving 100% contract renewal rates.Identifies and accesses potential clients, including multi-national corporates, national corporates and private investors, to motivate mutually beneficial opportunities.Negotiates contracts, reviewing service agreements and legal appointments for suppliers / vendors and contractors to the diversified business.HR ManagementTrains Regional Managers on B2B marketing approaches in technical service provision, driving ownership in respective regions.Coordinates, collaborates and assists Regional Managers with identified marketing activities related to potential client site energy surveys and outsourced energy proposal preparation.Marketing ManagementStakeholder Relationship-Building
