Ever since I can remember, I’ve been very outgoing and zestful. What nourishes my enthusiasm are new people, places and experiences, and my friends can confirm (and sometimes complain) that it comes as second nature to me to spark either very deep, or very silly conversations even with people I meet for the very first time. The decision to pursue a bachelor's degree in English and American studies was inspired by my flair for languages. However, those 4 years felt quite meh for me and honestly speaking, what I'm most thankful for during my studies was the opportunity to spend a year in Valencia as an Erasmus student where my absolute obsession with Spain began.Still, I decided to give a chance to the degree I acquired, so I went to Spain to teach English for 7 months. It was very obvious that my hasty personality was not suitable for such a career that demands a lot of patience. Quickly I made a turn to a master’s degree in marketing – the thought process of leaping into this completely new venture was basically the following: “These studies would include a lot of communication and creativity, so I’m in!”It turned out that it was the right choice, mainly because it allowed me to acquire a position in an advertising agency. I started as an Account Manager and some years later I became a Digital Storyteller and then a Digital Strategist. It is then when I realized I could sometimes be quite good with written words. My everyday tasks included: creating social media strategies; budgeting; project management; reporting; media planning; and more for various brands – a shopping center in Sofia, a global coffee brand, a leading Bulgarian drug store, an investment company – but my favourite part of the job was definitely writing copies for SoMe.When I felt the need to change my professional path, I got the position of a Marketing Specialist at Amdaris. What I cherish the most here, apart from the fact that Amdaris GENUINELY cares about the planet, society and its people, is the fact that I have the freedom to turn all my ideas into reality (if they are obviously not too stupid). In my job, just like in my personal life, authenticity, honesty and laughter is what I strive for, both when it comes to building our internal community, and to reaching the external public who has already started to figure out how awesome our A-team is.
