The Instant Group (TIG) aims to revolutionize commercial real estate with an Airbnb-like platform, enabling users to book everything from entire office spaces to individual desks for short-term rentals.As a Java Backend Developer, I contributed to the full SDLC across both internal microservices and an admin-focused BFF-pattern microservices, delivering secure, scalable backend solutions. I developed and enriched endpoints across user management, booking, and payment-related microservices, implementing features that enhanced data accessibility and efficiency. In the BFF service, I centralized user-authorization and added data enrichment layers, reducing frontend complexity and improving the admin experience. For secure token management, I leveraged Auth0 with automated refresh strategies and concurrency control techniques, ensuring high availability and preventing race conditions in our distributed architecture. I also led deployments on AWS ECS using CI/CD pipelines, optimizing for reliability and minimizing downtime. My work included optimizing high-traffic database queries through caching and query tuning, significantly enhancing system performance and scalability. This role strengthened my expertise in backend architecture, secure API management, and cloud-based infrastructure, contributing to the stability and responsiveness of The Instant Group’s platform.
