This is the career that I really dug in and honed my skills as an influencer and an effective leader. I am very proud to have been honored with the "Rookie GM of the Year Award" at our yearly conference and the "Fleet Commercial Store of the Year Award" twice as well. I went into a very broken store in Georgetown that was achieving just under $1.4 Million per year. Within 18 months we were doing just over $2.7 million. First Step, build a team that knows how to say yes and mend all broken communication., Secondly, Fix all shop shortcomings, ie. equipment, lifts, dirt, parking lot, signage, supplies etc., Thirdly, Provide Outstanding Customer Service consistently. Lastly, have Daily Brief and Debrief sessions that help achieve higher and higher goals. 5 of my employees at that store went from Tire Technician or Sales Associate were promoted to Service Manager or higher throughout the company.. Regional training is where I found my true passion. Influencing others that are not my subordintes to make good decisions and effect change from afar. I held multiple weekly training sessions for the stores in the Lexington Market. This exposure led me to my next position of Area Operations Manager which I love the dynamics of.

I started as a part time sales associate and rose through the ranks to become the youngest General Manager in Advance Auto Parts history in 6 months. I enjoyed this position thoroughly due to the team that I built around me. This is the career that taught me how much I love developing people, plans, businesses, sales, profitability and of course customer service. We had a very clean store and rose the monthly sales from $85,000 to $140,000 in 8 months. I am also very proud to have had the only "ladderless" store in the company. You could reach every part without a ladder which vastly improved efficiency and productivity.less
