Senior Software Project Manager (Senior Software Producer)
CurrentResponsible for the project’s success during the whole project's life cycle. Roles and responsibilities included, but not limited to:- Responsible for quality and timing of product’s release.- Coordinating software development evaluation.- Development planning.- Team staffing.- Launching the project, coordinating the development and team's activities - setting priorities, bug base management, coordinating QA, programmers, designers, and other staff, etc. - Drafting of Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).- Readiness assessment of products to release- Communicate with customers; negotiate plans, tasks, PRDs, staffing, etc.- Project status reporting.- Customer support organization, supervision, participation.- Conducting developers' performance review.- Developing corporate and project policies.- Conducting lectures on policies and procedures for junior producersAccomplishments- Successfully released 8 software titles and more than 30 versions for them. Made the customer happy with releases.- Helped the company to extend the team by more than 10 times over 20 years- Managed teams that consisted of up to 31 persons- Coached and mentored the junior PMs- Development has been so smooth and successful that the customer has long-term plans and new projects to develop for the team.- Set up successful processes of customer support activities on the project.- The project is one of the most stable ones in the company- Shared experience and helped the company improve the engineering process, drafted and revised corporate policies.- Developed the team so that its members participated in company-wide activities: interviewing, teaching, policies/guides developing.- Developed quiz on OSX Human Interface Guidelines- Managed the team to switch between different development frameworks (shorter release cycles, JIT, dot releases, waterfall/scrum).- Established efficient development and communication process for the team to work from home while on quarantine.
