ANABEEB is an industrial cleaning company which specialise in HP Jetting, Catalyst Handling, Industrial Vacuuming, Decoking and pigging, cleaning of columns and vessels, Heat Exchangers, Reactors and Reformers and Chemical Cleaning. We conducted most of the above jobs during Shutdowns and long term maintenance at refineries throughout the Gulf Countries. During my time at ANABEEB I have gain lots of quality experience and also help to improve the safety culture. As a safety professional my job consists of the tasks below:• Conduct Turnaround projects at refineries as the Leading Safety Supervisor. • I coordinate all maintenance projects (Blanket Contracts) and our main clients are SABIC Group and Saudi Aramco.• Supervise Safety Officers, Supervisors and make sure that all work is completed on time to a very high standard.• Responsible for Fire safety throughout the organisation.• Deliver presentations to Clients and participate in meetings.• Carry out safety inspections on site safety audits.• Carry out HSE Supervision on Building Construction Sites.• Carry out incident investigation onsite and formulate reports.• Prepare safety procedures, JSA, training programme, HIP Plans, and HSE Plans.• Carry out safety training for entire organisation and conduct site safety induction briefs. • Monitor integrated safe system of work, identify trends and implement subsequent actions• Administer, catalogue and coordinate PTW.• Providing support and to current HSE standards to all Operational teams/Site Visitors /and contractors.

This was a joint venture offshore maintenance project with one of the largest oil company in the world ConocoPhillips and the Jack up barge company from the UAE called Gulf Marine Services. During this project my job activities consist of the tasks below:•Carrying out risk assessments, and acting on all breaches of health and safety regulations, putting solutions in place and providing advice on how to rectify for the future.•Undertaking internal inspections and health and safety audits, including reports to senior officers.•Ensuring adherence to MARPOL (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).•Assist with writing health and safety policy.

This company was in charge of looking after the entire dockyard which consists of the Royal navy base in Portsmouth. My safety role was very diverse and some of my tasks include:•Overall Supervision of dockyard HSE compliance-incorporating all personnel on site •Providing support and to current HSE standards to all Operational teams/Site Visitors /and Contractors. •Internal and External Audits to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, acting on all irregularities and advising on improvements required.•Responsibility for evacuation exercises to ensure evacuation is efficient and procedures are adhered to.•Inspection of all facilities including navy ships and fuel depot•Assisting the Chemical Safety Team to set up for submarine visits including setting up cleansing stations.•Working with the training officer to complete Health and Safety presentations.•Fire inspection and evacuation of all offices and buildings within the dockyard-Alarm testing and to ensure appointed ‘Fire Wardens’/Muster Controllers are know to everyone in the organisation.•Coordinate and Control – ‘Environmental cleansing stations’ working with the Chemical Safety –team on any spills or leak.

The Royal Navy is the United Kingdom’s principal naval warfare force. As an Engineering Technician (Marine Engineer) on a warship, I was part of the team responsible for keeping the ship running smoothly, safely and effectively. The job involved from working on the ship’s engines to its electrical, fuel, hydraulic and fire fighting systems. Some of my other tasks include:•Carrying out risk assessments, and acting on all breaches of health and safety regulations, putting solutions in place and providing advice on how to rectify for the future.•Undertaking internal inspections and health and safety audits, including reports to senior officers.•Ensuring adherence to MARPOL (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).•Assist with writing health and safety policy.•Watch keeping on machinery on a daily basis, monitoring multi million pound machinery during prolonged shifts while working unsupervised.•Setting up documentation routines for new Royal Navy vessel.•Line management duties during ship refits advising on health and safety procedures.•Incident investigation where health and safety has been breached and putting solutions in place.•Responsibility for sewage treatment plant and desalination plants and boilers•Testing fuel and water, passing on accurate data to management•Responsibility for safety procedures in regards to the transfer of fuel and oils•Working on diesel engines, gas turbines, air conditioning units - carrying out maintenance and safety checks on onboard machinery, fault finding and defect rectification•Allocating tasks to personnel, making best use of resources and supervising output•Carrying out conditional base monitoring jobs (Vibration Analysis Monitoring).
