Officiating has allowed me to develop many skills both on and off the rugby pitch. On the field I take charge of the game showcasing leadership and management of people; players, coaching staff & spectators. Teamwork is important when working with other officials, but most importantly integrity, conviction and honesty is required to ensure that games are officiated fairly while ensuring the rules of the game are applied correctly. Off-field my administration and time management is important to complete all relevant paperwork. This includes a match preview, to prepare for games, and match reviews that critically analyse my personal performance.
