Because of my background in electronics and automotive engine design, iFFi was initially formed to develop my new Direct Injection system for IC engines, and the holding of NDAs/patents relating to this project. This design reduces the cost of the DI system dramatically, while delivering extremely low emissions due to its 1000bar operating pressure. Parts count, and commensurately FMEA risk, is also significantly reduced. This project is now on hold due to inability to get R&D funding.Since early 2012, the company has had several design directions. We worked on general engineering design and parts manufacturing, and finally came full loop back to engine design. New commercial concept design often springs from an inability to get what you (and, you believe, others) need. From 2014-2017 Iffitech performed contract redesign and development work on an engine development program for an innovative NZ VTOL aerospace company.Since 2010 we have been fine tuning the design of our 250kW, liquid cooled 2-stroke VTOL engine for heavy fuels use - ideal for military flexfuel applications. Engine design, testing and validation services.

I developed the company, products, suppliers, area distributors, marketing strategies etc from whoa to go, as well as overseeing or personally performing much of the R&D work.I also personally designed and developed the piston ring design we patented, and the MT80 motorcycle engine.I also ran the Design Team, and was the major contributor to the design direction of the team.

Savice was an R&D company, formed in 1997. After designing several different systems and developing one successful electronic product through to full commercialisation, the company began to focus on Automotive R&D and engine design. I was Managing/Technical Director of this company from its inception until October 2011. I designed, developed and patented a piston, piston ring and port design for high performance 2 stroke engines (patent # WO2005121608), and developed the MT80 engine and motorcycle from concept through to establishing the validated supplier base and preparing the tooling/systems for mass production. The MT80 project was based in Chongqing, China. Funding was withdrawn just prior to mass production, and the company was wound up shortly after that.
