Finally, I trained two Senior Cost Accountants in the maintenance of the system, inventory management, standards setting, production variance analysis, and all of the day-to-day activities related to Southwall Technology’s inventory management and product cost accounting and analysis.Achievement: Accurate inventory valuation and the related cost of goods sold (COGS). Prior to our reengineering project, production variances were $1.5M per quarter. Reengineering reduced production variances to $250K per quarter.
