About Deon Du Plessis

Earthlab is a Mineral Exploration, Mineral Resource and Mining consulting company. I founded Earthlab on 03 July 2012. To date I have grown the company sevenfold since its inception in 2012. Earthlab employs more than 25 professional geologists. Including support staff, sub-contractors, engineers, geophysicists, CAs, technical and leadership consultants, Earthlab's Human Resources portfolio range between 40 and 70 people. I am a well-versed technical, strategic business development, corporate exploration, mining geologist and executive. I have proven leadership and management skills. I qualify and have been undertaking the role as Competent Person and technical expert in Natural Sciences for mineral occurrences from vast geological settings. I have 23 plus years of mine technical, and consulting experience including the exploratory development and expansion of open-pit and underground mining of multiple mineral commodities including base metals (lead, copper, zinc, silver), coal, diamonds, platinum group metals, gold, chrome, cobalt, manganese, and lithium (hard rock pegmatites and brines). I have proven ability to work with large and complex datasets from vast geographical extents.
