I have more than 20 years experience working across different industry sectors and in various roles. My contributions to projects and businesses have been in the areas of project management, general management, business development, strategic marketing, consulting, change management, leadership and performance management. I have been recognised for my strong leadership skills, creative problem solving, team motivation, thinking outside of the box and turning projects around from laggards to stars. I have a relentless drive for getting results and achieving success. My work experience and broad academic background has given me the ability to function effectively across multiple disciplines. I am passionate about leadership, high performance and people development. I have also worked extensively in the water and wastewater infrastructure sector in projects and capital sales. The book has sold more than 5000 copies since its original publication. I held the position of vice chairman and chairman of the British Chamber of Business from 2006 to 2008, leading the chamber through a major transformation and rebranding phase. I launched a self learning website called www.diylearning.co.za in 2012 that offered an e-learning platform for individuals keen to take charge of and manage their own learning and development in business. In 2012 I teamed up with the USA based 4-D Systems team lead; former head of the astrophysics division at NASA and project leader of the Hubble Space Telescope programme Dr. Charlie Pellerin. Dr. Pellerin has worked extensively with NASA project teams for more than 15 years, measuring and understanding the dynamics of team social context and how it impacts on project outcomes. The above facets of my career demonstrate a passion for results and diversity. I have, through my diverse background and skills set developed a unique ability to work across sectors and disciplines and integrate complex requirements and needs into coherent structures with clearly defined goals and deliverables. I lead through mutual respect, honest communication and trust. I keep my eye on the bottom line. I maintain a strong work ethic and governance.
