With my Commerce degree and post-graduate diploma in Business Management, applied my skills and experience in the Manufacturing and Operational environment for the last 25 years. During this time, employed mostly in middle to senior financial management in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia across a wide range of business. In 1999 received the Golden Arrow Award from the Professional Management Review in South Africa.Still play squash, badminton, golf when I get the chance, fly-fish and more generally fish whenever I get a chance, garden and also assist as minister's assistant at St. Patrick's Anglican in Perth Australia. I am also targeting the magic 50 for Red Cross blood and plasma donations by the end of 2016, having a real appreciation of life after surviving cancer in my younger years. Property now under offer, Brett accepted and enrolled to study Pharmacy at Rhodes, so our plans for a return to South Africa after nearly 14 years away is slowly falling into place.We will be living in Knysna, where I will be making that lifestyle change as I venture into the tourism sector and start my fly-fishing guiding service - Tidal Loops, so watch this space.Jessica will be looking to fire up her music teaching business in a new environment, and wherever possible, we mean to get involved in community and social work, having seen a number of opportunities where we can try to make a difference.After spending most of my working life looking after ourselves, this might be a good time to start giving something back. At this stage, we are looking at leaving Perth on or around 11th January of next year, stopping over in Malaysia then over to my parents before we migrate to the coast and our eventual destination.
