Deon is one of the four founders of Tell Your Children, a creative studio based in Singapore. Since 2014, the group has garnered a strong local and international following and has worked with a large range of reputable clients and global brands such as Nike, Prada, Netflix, Starbucks and Uniqlo. Deon is also the co-founder of vintage retail outlet Death Threads. Established in 2017, Death Threads is widely regarded as the frontrunner of the vintage community in Singapore.A firm believer in nurturing the next generation of creatives, Deon is also actively involved in engaging with design and art institutions such as NAFA and Lasalle through talks and workshops. He currently holds the position of Adjunct Lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic School of Design from 2020 to present.Deon is also the co-director and producer of Class Acts, a highly anticipated feature-length documentary film showcasing the genesis of Singapore’s creative and urban culture in the 90’s. Class Acts was screening to the public during Singapore Art Week 2023 along with an ongoing accompanying exhibition at the National Design Centre, followed by subsequent screenings at The Projector. Deon’s many creative endeavours had earned him much local recognition such as appearing in Esquire Singapore’s Emerging Creative Talents as well as the Straits Times’s “30 and under, Young Singaporeans to Watch” in 2020.
