I completed my 3 years of articles at Deloitte Cape Town (South Africa), audit division, in December 2008.Main responsibilities & skills acquired:• Performing audit work on all the various business cycles of clients. • People management and conflict resolution attained through the managing and coaching of audit teams, and liaising with clients and audit managers and partners.• Preparing financial statements and other reporting documents• Planning and concluding audit engagements which required resource allocation in respect of audit team members, as well as preparing budgets and timelines.• Reviewing of the work performed by the audit team. During my 3 years of articles I gained experience in various industries and in the current year I have been the audit senior on the following clients:- Large Manufacturing (Steel Manufacturing – Standard Costing)- Technology (Part of a US Listed Corporation)- Retail (Vehicle dealerships, Clothing industry)- Services Industry (Container Depots)- Leisure Industry (Resort Management)
