I created Inland Football Club LLC, an American amateur soccer club in Riverside (Calif.), in 2014 and our open division side won the Pete King Cup in 2014 and '16 while our over-30 side claimed two league titles in its first three seasons. The club currently competes in the Inland Empire Soccer League in Loma Linda, CA.My occupation -- professional journalist -- has had its ups and downs but there is little argument that I am the most prolific freelance sports writer in the history of Riverside or San Bernardino, having spent more than 20 years outlining moments of athletic achievement and disappointment for readers of the The Press-Enterprise in Riverside (Calif.) and The Sun in San Bernardino, among the more than 30 daily newspapers in 22 western states and Canada in which I've appeared during my career. Additionally, my posts at InlandFieldhouse.com, IESoccerBlog.wordpress.com and others are viewed daily by readers around the globe.I worked as Communications Director for the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) fro 5 years, leading the league's expansion from 40 men's clubs in two time zones in Oct. '16 to more than 300 men's and women's clubs in five time zones, Canada and Mexico by 2021.I currently serve as Vice President of Communications and Media Director for the Southwest Premier League (SWPL), an official affiliate of the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA).
